Short course programme
The UK Centre for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy and the Centre for Stress Management run a short course Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for health professionals interested in learning more about the Rational Emotive Behavioural and Cognitive Behavioural approaches.
British Psychological Society Learning Centre approves our 2-day Primary and extended Certificate, Advanced Certificate courses for the purposes of Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Our courses are run by BPS Chartered Psychologists.
The Association for Rational emotive Behaviour Therapy recognises our introductory, foundation and advanced courses as providing training for those working towards accreditation as a Rational Emotive Behaviour therapist and counsellor.
Information about courses
Primary certificate courses are usually of 2-day duration. CPD Certificates are issued to delegates who attend and complete a primary certificate course. A full Primary Certificate is only awarded to participants who successfully complete a written seen exam paper undertaken at home within 60 days of attending the course. An extension can be negotiated if necessary otherwise a late submission fee of £20 is charged for late assignments.
The 2 and 3-day Primary Certificate courses include a take home seen exam paper which should be submitted within 60 days of attending the course. An extension can be negotiated if necessary otherwise a late submission fee of £20 is charged for late assignments. However, if a delegate does not wish to undertake the assignment (take-home seen exam paper), then will still obtain a CPD Certificate of Attendance for their CPD logbooks if they have had a 90% attendance rate. (There are normally reduced delegate fees for CPD attendance of courses only.)
If delegates only wish to obtain a CPD certificate for their CPD logbooks/records, and not the full primary certificate, then they can enrol for the CPD course only. This is at a lower delegate fee. Later, if they then decide to obtain the full primary certificate they can take the written assignment and pay extra for the examination fee.
